I know I don't update my blog often. I update Facebook and Twitter (usually via GoodReads) almost constantly, so I tend to forget that LJ still exists in the social networking universe. Don't judge me too harshly, please.

So, just to give an update while I am here:
I am doing revisions for Book 2 and 3. I am currently on chapter 7 of Book 2.
I am going out of town for a few weeks, maybe I'll get a lot done with my writing.
I am also watching a lot of movies with Michael Fassbender. It's become an addiction. lol
I am nearly done with school work for the summer. Big sigh of relief. :-)

I have had a faily productive week.

I completed quite a bit of school work, including a lot of reading for my Business Law test, and a mid-term. I have more school work ahead this week, including a corporate tax return and five "papers" to write for my Business Law class. I hope to find the focus to accomplish as much as I can in one day, rather that do one subject per day.

I have also made more progress on book 3 of The Vayde Chronicles. I am currently working on Chapter 5 and hope to start Chapter 6 before I go to bed. So far today I have written 12 pages. Not bad. It still needs a lot of work, but again, it is progress. I added some new music to the "soundtrack". I shall have to update my website with the information, but that is a low priority. I want to get as much writing done today as I can. :-)

Well, I am back from vacation. Family trip to Knoxville and Smoky Mountains. Good times. But, alas, it's time to get back to work. That means school work and writing - and hopefully "real" work somewhere in there. Tax Accounting and Legal Environment of Business will be my dearest friends for the next few days. Wish me luck!

Book 2: Finished the utterly horrible first draft the other day. Took a break from writing. Jotted down a few notes while doing school work and other activities. Then, began working on book 3 today and: 4 chapters (including the prologue) and 26 pages written. Yes, I am tired.

I wish there was a way to plug my brain into my computer and as I think and "play" the scenes in my head, it was automatically written down. I'd have book 2 done already. As of right now, I'm on page 179 and working on Chapter 17.

I have decided that when I am done with the extremely rough first draft of book 2, I'm moving on to book 3. I will make revisions and additions when both drafts are complete. I have plans for the completion of this story and I need to make sure it will work. :-)

13 chapters and 126 pages completed. Plenty to add in those 13 chapters, but I'll move forward for now.

Today is a school day. On the agenda: Tax Accounting 2, Accounting 2, Management Decision Support Systems, and Business Law.

Oh, look! That's all my classes. Perhaps I can knock out the first week's school work for all my classes today. That would be lovely, no?

Okay, so perhaps I should be writing today. But, I haven't been. I did drop off a few books to my friend (and tattoo artist) Paula, to the area bookstore, and at a couple other locations. That's something of productivity, right? I also got my assignment schedule squared away for my summer classes. So, now I can get on top of that. But, I currently have something of a distraction - and that distraction is "Lost." I started watching Season 1 again over the weekend - and I'm near the end. And, really, who's to say I'll stop with Season 1? I own the whole series.

You should be happy to know that despite all my current distractions, I am about 125 pages into Book 2 of The Vayde Chronicles. It's very scant right now, but I'm getting the gist of the story down. I'll go back later and smooth out the details, etc. I almost think it's easier to edit and revise later than it is to write.

That's all the the update I have right now. Maybe I'll get into the habit of updating here often. One can hope, right?
